And Sew On - My March Block

It's been a busy month so far, but I've managed to squeeze in making my block of the month for the lovely project over on Quietplay.

Looking back on it, I think my bobbin colours look a bit too subdued compared to my other two blocks. I think I was more focused on finding fabrics that had an interesting thread type pattern, rather than thinking about what colours they were!

A few of my lines didn't match up and don't look too closely at the gingham pattern, but overall, I'm quite pleased with it.

Hopefully, I'll have a bit more time spare in April, so I won't have to rush that block! Not that I'm making excuses honest!

I'm looking forward to the next challenging block and I love keeping an eye on the other finished designs to see what colour and pattern choices they made. It makes me feel better to read that most of them have some issues like me!

Thanks again to Quietplay.

For the love of frog........

You may remember this time last year, I blogged about my frog birthday present and card for my husband. Well, it's that time again and I decided the theme would be....... FROGS! Original I know! I've made him a quilted applique wall hanging, and appliqued t-shirt and of course a frog card.

The box of frogs isn't quite as wonky in real life honest!

Here's a close up of the writing and the cheeky little frog.

This is the t-shirt. I'm not sure if this frog has an attitude problem or if it's just rather confused!

I quite like this shocked, rather squashed looking felt frog card. It looks like he's thinking 'HOW OLD??!!!!'

Hopefully my husband will like them! I'd better get planning next years froggy presents now!

What do you think?
